Finnish rock trio Lucy Frantic releases its new single My Favorite Place on Friday, June 19, 2026. The song explores music as a refuge—a place where everyday concerns fade into the background and the passage of time loses its meaning.
My Favorite Place captures a feeling familiar to many music lovers. When you listen to or play music, the surrounding world falls silent. ForLucy Frantic, their “favorite place” is a state of mind that music can take you to.
The lyrics metaphorically bend time with a guitar. Music that may sound nonsensical to one person can bring another into a deeply meditative state. The theme continues in the single’s cover artwork, created by Lilli Aro. The illustration features a character wearing headphones, whose calm expression symbolizes that moment when music slows time down and allows the rest of the world to briefly disappear into the background.
While musically My Favorite Place continues Lucy Frantic’s recognizable sound, its walls of fuzz-drenched guitars present the heaviest Lucy Frantic material to date.
The single was recorded at Soundwell Studio in Kera, Espoo. Recording and mixing were handled by band members Jouni Visala and Sakari Ikonen, while mastering was completed by Janne Hakanen.
My Favorite Place will be available on all major streaming platforms on June 19, 2026.
